AI automation · Ballito, South Africa

Less admin. More of the work you actually do.

Luma Analytics builds practical AI tools for South African businesses. Whatever the industry, if a task eats your day and follows a pattern, it can usually be handled for you.

Based in Ballito, KZN · Working with businesses across South Africa

Small tools that do one job properly.

No large rollout, no change programme, no new system for your team to learn. We build around the way you already work.

Conversations

Customers answered, day or night

Lumi is our WhatsApp assistant. It sits on the number your customers already use and handles bookings, pricing questions, availability and new enquiries while you get on with the job.

Documents

The paperwork, read for you

Tools that read the documents your business already deals with and produce the summary, the comparison or the reply you would otherwise write by hand. Quotes, schedules, reports, contracts.

Admin

The repetitive middle

The work between your systems: rekeying the same information twice, chasing what is outstanding, formatting the same document every week. Quiet, unglamorous, and usually the biggest win.

We are not tied to one industry.

The businesses we work with have very little in common on the surface. A salon and a financial services firm look nothing alike, but the shape of the problem is the same: skilled people spending hours on work that does not need a person.

So the question we start with is never which sector you are in. It is which part of your week you would take back first.

Built around the data rules, not patched afterwards.

Several of our clients handle other people's personal information, some of them in regulated industries. We treat that as the constraint the tool is designed around.

  • We store nothing. A document or a message is read, processed and discarded. There is no database of your customers' information sitting on our servers.
  • We log metadata only. The time, who was signed in, and whether the request succeeded. Never the content, never the answer.
  • Access is named. Only the people you identify can sign in. Adding or removing someone is a deliberate act, not a shared password.
  • The chain is written down. Under POPIA you are the responsible party and Luma Analytics is the operator. Every provider we rely on is named in the operator agreement, along with where the processing happens.

We are happy to take a compliance officer through any of this in detail.

I discovered a superpower. I just want to share it.

I spent years working long hours, always feeling behind. Not because I wasn't working hard enough, but because manual admin was eating my time. Unnecessary, repetitive work that followed me home every night.

Then I had a son, and everything changed. I started looking for a way to stop bringing work home, and I found it. I taught myself to automate the admin, and for the first time I was actually present. At home. With my family. Not on my phone.

That feeling is what Luma is built on. I am not selling software. I am sharing something I genuinely wish I'd had sooner, and I want every business owner stuck in the same grind to have it too.

Tell us which part of your week you would take back.

A short conversation is usually enough to tell whether there is something here worth building.
